What is a Lipoma?
Lipomas are the most common type of soft tissue tumor. They feel soft and doughy to the touch, move easily under the skin, and are generally not tender. They can appear anywhere on the body but most often develop on the neck, shoulders, back, abdomen, arms, and thighs.

Surgical Procedure
Lipoma removal is a straightforward procedure performed under local anesthesia in most cases. The removed tissue is sent for histopathological analysis to confirm the diagnosis.
Recovery
Most patients return to normal activities within a day or two. The wound heals within 1–2 weeks. There is very low risk of recurrence when the lipoma is completely excised.
